An Ordinance Changing the Name of the Industrial Development Authority of the City
of Salem, Virginia, to the Economic Development Authority of the City of Salem, Virginia.
WHEREAS, by ordinance duly adopted by the Council of the City of Salem, Virginia,
on March 9, 1967, there was created as a body politic the Industrial Development Authority
of the Town of Salem, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, by resolution duly adopted by the Council of the City of Salem, Virginia,
on February 26, 1968, the name was hereby changed from the Industrial Development
Authority of the Town of Salem, Virginia, to the Industrial Development Authority
of the City of Salem, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Salem is desirous of changing the name of the
"Industrial Development Authority of the City of Salem, Virginia" to the "Economic
Development Authority of the City of Salem, Virginia."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALEM, VIRGINIA, THAT:
